Authentic Stamped Mexican Silver

FAQ

  • Yes — solid .925 sterling, never plated, never hollow. Every piece is stamped, and we photograph the hallmark for every listing so you can see it before you buy. You never have to take our word for it: flip it over.

  • 925 means 92.5% pure silver — the sterling standard. MEX means it was made in Mexico. The letter-number mark beside them (like GA01 or MC-235) is the registered signature of the specific workshop that made your piece. Together, they're your piece's birth certificate.

  • Our silver is purchased from Mexican suppliers and worked in the registered workshops that have been shaping Mexican silver for five hundred years. We buy directly from the makers. No importers, no middlemen.

  • Wear it — skin contact actually slows tarnish, which is why the pieces that never come off stay the brightest. Store it dry in the pouch it ships in, polish with a silver cloth when it dulls, and keep it out of pools and hot tubs. Solid sterling doesn't wear out; it wears in.

  • You have 30 days to return it unworn for a full refund. We can stand behind it that hard because we know exactly what it's made of — and who made it.

  • It will never turn your skin green — that's what fake and plated jewelry does. Solid sterling can slowly develop a soft patina over time, which is natural and reversible: a silver cloth brings back the shine in thirty seconds.

  • Sterling silver is one of the most skin-friendly metals there is — it's the standard for people who react to costume jewelry, which is usually the nickel in cheap plating causing the trouble. Solid .925 has no plating to wear off. If you have a known severe nickel allergy, note that sterling's 7.5% alloy can contain trace metals; most people with sensitivities wear sterling without any issue.
